P6 have had a good day making their daily mile count!

We decided that our daily mile should matter so we planned a route around visitor attractions in Midlothian and some a bit further afield.

We will have our daily mile passports that will be stamped when we walk far enough to reach our visitor attractions.

Using map reading skills and measuring skills we mapped out our route and calculated ‘as the crow flies’ distances in miles.

When we reach an attraction we will use ICT to research the site and produce leaflets, presentations and our new padcaster to share our findings.

Watch out for our updates!

I’m very impressed to see how you are linking lots of learning opportunities within your Daily mile – not only are you increasing your fitness levels, but you are using maths and geography skills as well. Great work, P6!
